Putting aside the ethical aspect of the undertaking called “Conquest
of America”, the fact of such ñonquest of the a whole continent by a
not numerous army is fascinating.
There were wild jungles teeming with unknown beasts, lack of roads (the natives hadn't discovered the wheel at that time), the unknown diseases, not suitable climate and huge areas of land. All of that suggests that greed was not the single reason moving these people.
